After a misunderstanding by the cabinet maker about our budget we have revised our plans for the kitchen, laundry and pantry.  We have removed wall cabinets in the kitchen, removed some of the more expensive cupboards/drawers and simplified the island bench.  In the laundry and pantry the  Duropal marble benchtop with the Karaboard carbide cupboards and drawers have been replaced with melamine cabinets and Durpoal White Snow bench tops.  The new design is much more in line with our initial expectations when we wrote up our specs and is much healthier for our budget.
